Terms of Service
Last updated 16 August 2026
The agreement
These terms are between you and Doug Foltz Consulting, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“we”, “us”), and they govern your use of LaunchPath at churchplantingchecklist.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a church or network, you confirm you may bind it.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly at support@churchplantingchecklist.com if you think someone else has your account. You are responsible for what happens under it, and for the people you invite to your plant.
You must be 16 or older to hold an account.
What you get, and what it costs
- Free. The full task structure, dependencies and pacing for one plant, plus the Soul Care write-ups. No card required.
- Plant licence — $499, one time, per plant. Unlocks every task’s full write-up and resources, and your launch team features, for 18 months from purchase. It covers the plant, not the person: invite as many team members and coaches as the work needs, at no extra cost.
- Network Pro — $99 per month, per network. A recurring subscription for organisations, adding shared vitals and roadmap tasks pushed to every plant, and the network scorecard grid. One flat price however many plants you support. Each plant still needs its own licence.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects a licence you have already bought or the current period of an active subscription.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. A plant licence is a single charge and does not auto-renew — when the 18 months end, it simply lapses.
Network Pro renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your network’s billing page; it stays active to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not pro-rate part months. If a subscription lapses, your network keeps every number already recorded — you lose the ability to manage shared templates and the grid, not the data.
Refunds
Plant licences are non-refundable. The full playbook unlocks the moment you pay, and it is the whole of what you are buying — so, as with a book, we cannot take it back once you have it.
This is why the free tier exists, and why it is genuinely useful rather than a teaser: it shows you the complete 171-task structure, every dependency, and your real launch pacing, before you spend anything. Please work with it first and buy only when you are sure.
That said, we are a small operation and we would rather fix a problem than keep money we have not earned. If you were charged twice, bought the wrong plant, or the product is materially not what this page describes, email support@churchplantingchecklist.com and we will put it right. Nothing here affects refund rights the law gives you and we cannot exclude.
Network Pro: cancel at any time and you will not be charged again. We do not refund part-used months, because you keep full access until the period ends.
If a charge is refunded or reversed, the corresponding licence ends and paid content locks again. Your data is not deleted.
Your content stays yours
Everything you put into LaunchPath — your plant, tasks, notes, comments, files and scorecard numbers — remains yours. You give us only the permission needed to host and display it to you and the people you have invited, and to back it up.
The checklist content itself — the task write-ups, structure and resources — is ours and is licensed to you for running your own plant. Please do not republish, resell, or redistribute it, or use it to build a competing product.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share your account so people who have not bought a licence can read paid content;
- attempt to reach another organisation’s plants or data, or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission;
- scrape or bulk-export the checklist content, or automate the service in a way that degrades it for others;
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to store.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
Availability
We work to keep LaunchPath available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may take it down for maintenance. We do not guarantee that reminder emails arrive — treat your launch date, not our notifications, as the thing that matters.
No warranty on outcomes
LaunchPath is a planning tool, provided “as is”. It is not legal, financial, tax, employment, or pastoral advice, and it does not guarantee that a church plant will launch, succeed, or comply with the rules that apply where you are. Decisions about your plant remain yours. Where the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost income, donations, or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using LaunchPath and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you materially break these terms, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and let you export your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and the state and federal courts located in Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify account holders by email. Continuing to use LaunchPath after that means you accept the new terms.
